looks like adobe is going to kill off Flash in 2020

should they open source it or just been done with it?

before i thought i will love the day which macromedia adobe open up flash but now im glad its going to die.

whats your thoughts on this?

I thought it was dead already.
Much like Windows XP, Gateway 3DS, and that one guy still using RXTools, there are still holdouts with Flash installed...my boyfriend unfortunately being one of them.

For me, they can kill flash right now. Don't use it anymore, since HTML5 became the standard for web multimedia.

Also, flash is the most used framework when we talk about absolutely undesired ads. I would like that those ads companies could be sued for ruining my browsing experience on my own devices, kinda like hacking if you ask me.

That's why I stopped visiting hackinformer.
 
I feel like the 3 year countdown is to give porn sites time to change to HTML5. I think a year or so ago, there was a Firefox update that automatically disabled Flash and thus certain sites I go to a lot (ahem, tubes) didn't have a flash alternative. This gives me 3 years to play the flash game adaptation of The Room, something I barely played.
