ROM Hack Adding my own cracktro

okay, so lets say i just have a .gba with a little intro on it of my own design or someone elses for that matter and i would like to attach it to a game also in .gba format...

what kind of process is needed to eventually patch on the intro?

hopefully this doesn't take any hardcore assembly skillz, because thats well beyond me, unless someone can explain...
