All of a sudden, my animal crossing New Horizons is stuck on the loading screen with the floating island. My joycons refuse to work and the game refuses to load.
I have no idea what could have caused this, but I am open to suggestions.
When I check for corrupt data, it says corrupt data is found. I did a fresh install of the game and it's the same result. Any ideas?

Much appreciated to anyone who can help

The same thing happened to me and I came looking for some help, it is good to know that it happened to someone else (in a good way) so that someone can help us. For my part I deleted my save file (not without first making a copy) to verify if that was the problem, in part it was but now the game plays very slowly and the only thing I can do is press "A" to advance the dialogues.

Edit: Ok i found a solution here in the forum (I can't post link :C), search "some titles stuck on loading screen when loading some games"

Thank you! I will have a look. I'm glad I'm not the only one this is happening to.

UPDATE: Oh my god that worked. I missed one of my villager's birthdays :( But that fixed my issue.
To anyone wondering:
All you have to do is reinstall Atmos/Kosmos.Try deleting anything you don't need in the atmosphere folder too.

I had the same problem, thanks to this thread i solved it too!

Here's what i did specifically:
- Backed up everything that was in the atmosphere folder
- Deleted everything in the atmosphere folder except "contents"
- Deleted everything in the sept folder
- Redownloaded the latest Atmosphere https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases
- Dragged everything in the .zip into the root of my sd card, overwriting any files it asked to overwrite
- From my backup, I put my old system_settings.ini file back into the "config" folder that's inside the atmosphere folder.
