Can be used as a Passme to boot from slot-2 flash carts. Run GBA games by using expand cart

The Acekard 2i can be used as a passkey, so you can boot your slot2 flash carts with it.
AK2 also support 3in1 expansion cart. You can run gba games from MicroSD card directly.
*You need insert MicroSD card with OSMenu to use Passme function.
*Expansion cart sold separately.

It seems confusing, but if the AK2i also works on the DSi it isn't...

I'm confused. Is the Acekard 2i a different cart? As in Ak2, AKRPG, AK2I?
The AceKard 2i should be exactly the same as the AceKard 2, but working on the DSi.

Next team -> Cyclo Team (cause the also had a working inhouse card)
You never know... There might be another team to announce their cart as a suprise

I'm actually couting on the M3 Team...

SOOOOOOOO glad I sold my R4DS and then I was going to get a CycloDS but got a AK2.1!

Acekard sure is awesome.

I was going to order an AK2, but Ill wait on the 2i instead. Hopefully Ill get a DSi sooner rather than later

Not much of a surprise, it was going to happen eventually. At least Nintendo last longer than high definition video encryption usually does

The key thing here is not who gets to release a DSi-compatible cart, but the flashcart-proof DSi is flashcart-proof no more

Take that Nintendo!

I've been deciding whether or not to get a DSi for the last few days, but now I'm definitely going to get one. Good thing too, only got another 7 days in Tokyo left.

So, If I want to buy a Acekard that plays on Lite and DSi, I'll have to buy an Acekard 2i? Or can I buy just a Acekard 2?

There is no reason to order it now if your waiting for US/EU release since there will probably be better cards out there for the DSi by that time as well as maybe Nintendo will fix it by the US/EU release so the AK2i won't work anymore. We don't know yet so my recommendation for you guys is to stay away from this for now if you don't own a Japanese DSi.

Now if Team Cyclops would produce a card, but this AceKard may convince me to buy a DSi, How much are they again?

Now the question is, how long it will take Nintendo to come up with a firmware update to block out the AceKard 2i. ;p From what I heard, they simply used a new booting method that currently works on the DSi. Though Nintendo still has time to come up with a way to prevent it and fix it before the Nintendo DSi gets released outside of Japan. Also they can force an update for the Japanaese DSi as well.

At any rate, I wish them the best of luck because the DSi looks very promising. The only way I would get one though is if a working flashcard came out for it and wasn't in trouble of being patched by Nintendo . Thats all I need, to get a DSi and a flashcard just to have it be made into a useless hunk of plastic by Nintendo xD

Can not force an update with no wifi. Just do not update and your flashcard continues to work.

well, you'd like to use the Wifi features and possible DSi-only titles might need updates..

It is going to be like the same case with the wii. So yea.

Also I rarely use wi-fi so I am good either way.

personally im using flashcart because im cheap
and if im too cheap for cartiage games, im too cheap for DSi download games

hence no wifi ^^v

...unless i wanna go play online... i'll leave that for the 360 ( -.-)

you think they may have forced update through games too?
like mario galaxy on wii and what not
