Hacking Acekard shows up in 3DS but not DSL

So I borrowed a friend's DSL so I could update the firmware on the Acekard2i so I could use it on my 3DS, but when I put the card in the DSL no card shows up in the menu, but when I put the card into the 3DS it recognizes it and shows up as Acekard. WTF? I tried doing the paper tricks and I had no luck. It used to work perfectly on my old DSL.

EDIT: Nevermind, finally got it to work.
