Acekard R.P.G. loader 4.03 released

I am still having trouble. I have created a txt file in the same directory as the rom on my acekardIt is the exact same name as the rom apart from the .cc suffix. This has the action replay codes on. I enabled the cheats in the special section of the acekard menu. I go into the game and when I press start+select+up. nothing happens apart from the game pausing. I have got the akmenu4.03 software in the root of the acekard along with the game and the cheat I want to use. I must be doing something wrong somewere, I just dont know were. I hope you can help.
