Hacking Acekard 2i connection issue? [Researching]

I was looking into flashcards for when I buy the new 3DS XL. I understand 3DS games can't be emulated. I, from my research so far, have included the top 2 flashcards that would be best. The R4i Gold and Acekard 2i. I like the Acekard 2i more but have noticed the "connection issue" some people have reported.
A couple of question I have are:

1. Which card is best for the 3DS XL to emulate DS games? (I don't need gba)

2. Does the Acekard 2i still have the connection issue reported?

3. Most reliable US site to buy flash card not bundled or with a micro sd card?

Assuming that DS-mode flashcarts will work with the 3DS XL, the R4i Gold 3DS and the Acekard 2i are pretty much equal if you don't care about GBA. If you do care about GBA, you should get the Supercard DSTWO. However, it should be noted that the R4i Gold 3DS receives much more frequent updates than the Acekard 2i.

Some people still have contact issues with their Acekards, but I've never had an issue with mine. If that worries you, you should probably just get the R4i Gold 3DS. That's my personal recommendation too.
