Hacking Acekard 2 save Files

This is my scenario:
I delete the .nds file leaving the .sav file behind, i put the .nds file back on again, why can't the new readded .nds file recognise it? Is there a way to make this work?

remove your saved file (rename it to something else), go to the game, create a new game/save file, shut down, replace the new file with your older file and load the game.
