Looking at the ACE3DS Plus website it says it will work on 9.5 firmware directly but mine sure as hell doesnt. Does anyone know if it needs to be updated or where to find this update. On the ace3ds website i cant seem to find anything besides the wood firmware

You need to install the newest firmware (aos 2.13) from the official website on your ace3ds plus.
Then you HAVE to put it in a normal ds oder ds lite (or a 3DS with a firmware below 5.0 I tink) and then it'll work on a 3DS or N3DS with a firmware up to 9.6 (I just fought with my ace3ds plus card about 3 hrs ago, but now its working).

That probably won't work since the AOS is only the Kernel (aka Ace3DS' "Firmware" tho firmware technically means something else).
The Ace3DS team usually released a new revision of the card after the old one got blocked by a 3DS system update.

Yeah I was guessing that was probably the case. It used to work on my old 4.5 3ds xl but since I migrated to my N3DS I cant seem to get it to work. If there is no firmware upgrade available anyone else have any suggestions for a card that will play DS games?

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
