Last year, Capcom announced a port of their courtroom video game series, Phoenix Wright. This port would be a totally "HD remastered port, of the original Ace Attorney Trilogy for iOS systems". The port of the game was to be released Winter 2012 on the app store, but was delayed due to "issues". Capcom USA's VP, Sven, had this to say, Sorry guys. This game has moved all over the place. The current schedule has it in April HOWEVER, given how this title has moved several times, I'm not certain how firm that date is.
That's the best info I have at the moment.

Hopefully, we'll get this port. More news about it's release is expected in the coming days.

Screw it, if they made an Angry Birds port on a PS3/360 disc, I say bring this game to PS3/360 too.

How can such a 2D heavy game be ported to HD? Wouldn't it still look quite standard?
Actually, if you played or look up the Wiiware versions, you can see that is just the original game stretched to fit on a big TV set and the result...how should I put it delicately........SUCKS.

However, if you consider that the original art work has to exist somewhere ( the original, hand drawn sprites and backgrounds ), by re-sampling it with a higher resolution in mind (higher then the crappy 256x192 DS resolution or even worse 240x160 GBA originals ), then you can imagine what potential lies there and how much improved the game can get.
After all, a 2D heavy game doesn't mean it can't be rendered at a higher resolution an look better, think of the early Super Mario Bros games and something like WarioWare Shake Dimension for the Wii.

I think they remade all the sprites and images and stuff in HD. They did the same for the first Ace Attorney iOS port, only the quality of that was somewhere in between this and the DS.
