Hacking Accidentally Upgraded to 8.1 19U

So obviously my 3DS has fell victim to the aforementioned upgrade. From everything I've read/heard, there is no way to play/backup my games with any flashcard including the gateway card I just purchased

Correct?

If so, what is the likelihood, given the companies track record of releasing or figuring out how to exploit the 8.1 firmware. Or should I just return the gateway card?

Unless you have a backup of 4.1-4.5 firmware, return it if you can. If you have a backup, you can do the USB mod to downgrade.

Return the cart or sell your 3DS on CL and buy a new one,no clear info right now about the >4.5 exploit

Plenty of clear info about the >4.5 exploit actually. It won't run gateway cards.
