About YouTube code tags

Even though most of us already know how to use it, some people just joining/never used YouTube tags don't.
So I'm just suggesting (if the forum allows it) for only having to put the YouTube url in, and then the forum doing the rest, like the url button

then it just removing the "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" and leaving it with the rest.

I have no idea if this has been suggested before, if so, sorry

On another note, youtube sometimes replaces the "watch?v=" with "watch#!v="
You'll still have to delete everything of the URL so you'll only have the video id left, but does anyone know why youtube does this all of a sudden?

EDIT:
Oh wait I think I misunderstood your idea, but now that I know what you mean, I think it's a great idea, will prevent a lot of confusing as to "why the f%&# is the video showing not up?"

Even better could be if they somehow could make both the URL and the Video code work
It's doable, but I dunno how difficult it is

Maybe the BBcode's internal HTML replacement should only add the part before the Video code if there's no "v=" in it or something

Good idea, it might be feasible. If not, I suggest the tags (youtube) (/youtube) become [y][/y], it's easier to type when you use Fast Reply (I always am

yeah, the youtube tag definitely needs an update...
i'll look into it when I have the time

I like it as it is, but mostly in a selfish way because I know how to use it.
