Hacking About the “Nintendo 3DS” file

I have some questions about this file.
1. What is this file used for?
2. What does it contain?
3. What are the consequences of deleting it? Will the CFW and all the games installed disappear?
 
The Nintendo 3DS folder on the root of the SD card contains all of your installed content and album.

Deleting it will remove all currently installed titles (that aren't in Nand) and your photo album.
However, it will not remove your CFW.

So it does not contain CFW softwares like FBI or Twilight Menu++?
 
yep, twilight menu++ is dsiware, so it's in twl NAND:
