Hacking About the “Nintendo 3DS” file

I have some questions about this file.
1. What is this file used for?
2. What does it contain?
3. What are the consequences of deleting it? Will the CFW and all the games installed disappear?

do you mean the folder? it contains everything. don't delete it.

The Nintendo 3DS folder on the root of the SD card contains all of your installed content and album.

Deleting it will remove all currently installed titles (that aren't in Nand) and your photo album.
However, it will not remove your CFW.

It will remove them if they are installed on the SD Card, but not the CFW itself.

If you installed any homebrew as a .cia then yes deleting 'Nintendo 3DS' will remove them.

If you're loading those as .3dsx from the hbmenu then they will not be removed.
