That's all I need to say.

The complaints about the defective Acekard2s is solely the responsibility of the Acekard's manufacturers and has nothing to do with dealextreme. That being said, I'm almost positive that all of those problems have since been remedied so you're safe to buy an AK2, to my knowledge. I'm not sure about the complaints regarding the EDGE that you're referring to but I'm willing to bet that these too have more to do with the cart and less to do with dealextreme. They're a legit company to buy from and their customer service is reasonable. Shipping can be slow but at the prices offered, it might be worth it to wait.

DX is a very good shop. I never had problems with them and I never heard of any.
What you heard of were probably the defective acekard2 batches, but every reseller had this problem. Those batches are gone now, the AK2 is solid and you can buy one without a problem...

Everybody who has bought from DX lately has gotten either the green or black AK2.1, which is the fixed version. So, no worries. For hong kong, it actually didn't take as long as I thought it would when I ordered my 3 in 1.

When i read the replies on the Ak2 at DX
It was almost all about defective ones..

They've supposedly fixed that with version 2.1 and the new pcb board.
I got mine about 2 weeks ago and its working fine.

the ak bad batch problem is fixed, i was personally assured of it by team acekard. the 2.1 is complete with a new design. the green pcb is a fixed vesion of the 2.0. the black pcb is a redesign that can never mirror the issues of the ak2.0. dealextreme is VERY good at making mistakes right. it may take time to ship back your item and get a replacement if that was required.

at this point i would not worry about it. place your order and happy gaming.

The Acekard 2 problems aren't really DX's fault - DX is slow with shipping because they're in Hong Kong but otherwise they're very reliable, and they're far faster in shipping than they were last year when I had to wait 4 weeks to get my R4 - I got my Acekard in 2 weeks, lol

thats excatly the experience i´ve made with DX

QUOTE(crazyazn5 @ Nov 4 2008, 07:05 AM) I don't think there is anymore... anyways, dx takes a really long time to deliver. Took nearly a month to get here... Then again its FREE shipping, nothing beats free.

i´ve orderes quite a few times there and the parcel took no longer than 10 days from hongkong to germany...

Hi,

I ordeded through DX sent from Hong Kong Thursday received it Monday.

Yup, that's why I love buying stuff from them, shipping here to Australia is very quick. Too bad the Australian dollar is weak.

Flashcarts (among other things) are still cheaper than what retailers charge here. $50-ish for an AK2? eeeech...

Anyway, I bought 2 AK2 last month (when the AUD was still strong), they were 2.1.

Let me know if you can find me ONE report of either an AK2 or an EDGE on DX as being fake.

DX's reputation is solid, the only fakes I've heard of were DSTTs. AK2 faulty reports are down by a lot. If you want one that's sure not to be fake and not to break down DealExtreme is the best place I can think of. They sell flashcarts by the hundreds and their stocks quickly get renewed so I'd expect any faulty batches to have looong been flushed. Not the same with Dealwoot.

I have found Dealextreme to be very reliable.

I have bought Edge cards with no problems, iTouch Ds cards with no problems and AK2s with no problems, a lot of the customer reviews are useful and the forum is pretty good

I got a few gadgety bits from there too, some things a bit squashed but all dirt cheap. The support they offer would be pretty reasonable too. Shipping has been as quick as 12 days to Ireland and the slowest 21 days, but not bad really considering its Hong Kong.

Used to use gadgetasia.com which are very reliable but a good bit more expensive. I certainly wouldnt have any worries about using Dealextreme anyway.
