Anyone tried any of the following:

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance -Totally playable from what I tested.

Jet Grind Radio - Playable, however it has a pretty poor framerate.

Duke Nukem Advance - Terrible. The framerate makes it unplayable. It's one big stutter.

Forgive me if i've mentioned games that's on the list already.

Great, Dark Alliance was the game i wanted to play the most out of those 3. Thanks.

I honestly liked the PS2 version of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance about 10x better than the GBA version but for a handheld game.. it's okay..

Comix Zone - Playable but feels sluggish and slow

Tweety and the Magic Gems - Fully Playable and Beat the computer on Normal without any issues

Just a note for Mother 3, do NOT use a SRAM patched version. If you do the second save slot will keep getting corrupted.

i would be nice to see the contents of the gba goodset list dumped into a gbatemp wiki page. then everyone can edit the page for games. type if its working or not, and add any special bits of info. special stuff would include any frame-skip settings, gba_config settings, etc.

doing a full gba check on this emu is not a huge task. there are only something like 2,783 gba game dumps or something along those lines. i did the nesDS compatibility list on my own with over 12,000 roms to test.

everyone should band together to do this the right way. the way its done now everything is unorganized, data is in multiple threads, and people are testing the same games twice.

my suggestion is for 20 or so people to step up. make the wiki. assign everyone 50 roms a month. 20x50 = 1,000. verify all roms by crc against the crc value in the list. in alittle over 2 months this project would be done. then that information could be submitted to team supercard.

You have 2716/2783 ROMs

Do you mean create something like the SNEmulDS WIKI page ?? - good idea

It's gonna be one hell of a long list though
laugh.gif

So I'd suggest a layout something like that WIKI page (colour coding etc) but with
multiple pages (a-z #) and "Name / CRC / Notes" columns (I'm guessing the 'version' column is the version of SNEmulDS it was tried on)

Not sure if I could get round to doing 50 GBA games (don't really play that often), but I do have WIKI access - so willing to help add games to the list as-&-when they appear.
Just need some1 to do the {blank} WIKI pages (I only know how to do VERY basic ones)

i don't even think it needs to start that pretty.

more like...

0001 - F-Zero for GameBoy Advance (J)(Mr. Lee) [25E3FC9A] - WORKS
0002 - Super Mario Advance (J)(Mr. Lee) [B993B92F] - FAILS
0003 - Battle Network RockMan EXE (J)(Independent) [D9516E50] - REQUIRES GAME_CONFIG.TXT
0004 - Kurukuru Kururin (J)(Eurasia) [8A6A900B] -WORKS

etc....

you can make it pretty later on as a second project. the idea is to use a wiki page so everyone can edit it. that way it doesn't require for 1 person to maintain 1 thread. check out my nesds list to see how ghetto i did it, and it completly works.

OK I've made a start (only copied the first post onto it ATM)

give me a few days and i'll dump out the contents of this list i have into properly formatted wiki text that looks exactly like the snes wiki.

find me the gbahave.txt from the good tools run on a fullset
??? - do you mean go through all the post here & make a list up of all the games already tested ???...

And before I get too far into this - we've really gotta decide on a 'format'
Since it's such a long list - Would it be better if we split the list into several pages, for easy navigating perhaps ??

I was thinking of perhaps having several pages to split up the list: #-D, E-I, J-N, O-S, T-X, Y-Z and having links on 'Supercard_GBA' WIKI page to those pages

I was then thinking I'll put the WHOLE 'You have 2716/2783 ROMs' GBA list onto those pages & then just add - 'Works/not working' etc to the ones that have been tested (may even colour code them) - that way people can see which games have already been done & which still needs doing

What do you (and the others) think ??? - any suggestions

EDIT: Opps you posted while I was typing, so I guess i'll wait until you done what you doing before carrying on

EDIT #2: Had some time so I've redone the WIKI page with colours etc
EDIT #3: I've used the list from post #150 on the WIKI - but I need some confirmation please.
Some games don't have 'working' next them (ghost rider for e.g.) AND Pokemon games are not on the list - can some1 please let me know about them
Do Pokemon games work with OR without the game_config.txt file ?

I've added Pokémon Sapphire to the wiki list, it doesn't work without the game_config.txt. Also fixed some spelling mistakes here and there.

I've noticed there's another 'list' in post #125 'spoiler' - with some games not in the other lists I've seen (Pokemon are some of them) - problem is I don't know if these are games that worked before or after the game_config was used (I'm assuming it's AFTER)

I'll add these when I get home under the 'after' column just to be safe

Oh & I've changed Pokemon Sapphire to 'blue' since it works WITH the config file

Ah, okay then. Well, there's a huge list of games in the sticky topic about the GBA emulator, so if you have a lot of spare time you could add all of those too. Once my exams are done I will download every single GBA game there is and try it out myself, to make sure there are no mistakes in the list.

EDIT: I took a quick look at the sticky again and noticed raing3 has already tested loads of games, if not all, results are to be found here.

Looking @ that - that's for gpsp GBA emulator isn't it ??? is that the same as Supercards GBA emulator ?? (I think it is based on that)

If so - then why are we worrying about doing a WIKI on GBATemp if it's already been done elsewhere on GBATemp ???
(Although there's quite a few colours to worry about on that one though)
perhaps the WIKI could be a simplified version (just 3 column & colours) instead of having publishers etc columns and 7 colours ?!?!?!

I see you added the link to his list. That's good. So, as you said, we should keep the wiki a simplified version of that list, no one needs to know the dumper or release no. anyway. And yeah, the 7 colours are a bit too much too, let's keep it like it is now.

Another thing I've noticed about that list - there's a few games missing.... Where all the Sonic Advance games gone - I can only find 1

Also - IMHO I think the list should be alphabetical - it'll be better for people to find the game they want to know about

EDIT: Just popped over to the WIKI - some1 beat me to it....
laugh.gif

Guess we'll just have to start filling in all the others now

EDIT#2: Argh.... took me a while but I think I've figured out how to get the colours now on the WIKI page.... for those who need to know
Just change the red text said:
For Games that work without needing game_config.txt, use: {{SC_GBA|name of game|works|Works|}}
For Games that work but have some form of glitch, use: {{SC_GBA|name of game|issues|description of issue or fault|}}
For Games that work, but only with game_config.txt, use: {{SC_GBA|name of game|issues|description of issue or fault|Works|}}
For Games that fail, use: {{SC_GBA|name of game|not working|description of fault|}}
Also added a few new games that are missing from the gbatemp cheat list:-
  • 0404 - Spider-Man (UE)
    0405 - Star X (U) (M6)
    0406 - Scorpion King, The - Sword of Osiris (E) (M5)
    0409 - Blender Bros. (U)
    0415 - Penny Racers (E)
    0417 - Dinotopia - The Timestone Pirates (UE) (M6)
    0437 - SpyHunter (U) (M5)
    0445 - Sheep (E) (M5)
0449 - Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones (U)
    0451 - Earthworm Jim 2 (U)
    0452 - Bomberman Max 2 - Blue Advance (U)
    0453 - Bomberman Max 2 - Red Advance (U)
    0454 - Frogger Advance - The Great Quest (U)
    0455 - Muppet Pinball Mayhem (U)
All worked OK except for 405 (Laggy) and 415 (Locks up when you press [start]). Already updated the WIKI

i asked for a day to dump the wiki code out with all 2,792 games already sorted. you went ahead and started and if i dump now it won't match what you are doing. the file i am using as a database is the official advancescene listing, which is numbered not alphabetical.

if you continue the way you are going you have to add each of the 2,792 known good gba dumps by hand, 1 at a time. i'm still willing to dump the list. it would look something like the following example...

|-
|align="center" style="background:white"|0001 - F-Zero for GameBoy Advance (J)(Mr. Lee) [25E3FC9A]
|align="center"|1.21
|align="center"|
|-
|align="center" style="background:white"|0002 - Super Mario Advance (J)(Mr. Lee) [B993B92F]
|align="center"|1.21
|align="center"|
|-
|align="center" style="background:white"|0003 - Battle Network RockMan EXE (J)(Independent) [D9516E50]
|align="center"|1.21
|align="center"|
|-

again, i can generate a complete set of wiki code with every rom automatically. it should only take me 10 or so minutes now that i have a full gbahave.txt file to work from.

personally i feel that any listing should be numerical because roms are dumped in numerical order not alphabetical. i also think each rom should include the CRC value, that is the only definitive way to check that the rom you are testing matches with the known good dump.

@CannonFoddr: you have taken control, this is now your project. let me know if you want my help or not.

i'm curious why you are adding if it works with the game_config or not. the game_config is updatable, so in the future this comment could become incorrect. i think it is better to list the rom name - version of the scds2 gba emulator - user comments on if it works or how to get it working.
