It might not be aesthetically attractive, but it is super-effective. The 3DS in the video has a major hinge wobble problem, pretty much making the console unplayable until I did this. The rubber used for the pads was from some dense rubber furniture shims that I had already, but there's probably a million things in every house that would do the job. Should be stiff/dense material but with a little give to it. The rubber "feet" on an old device or appliance may work well, but you'll have to trim/shave it to size. The E6000 glue was used because it's a strong adhesive but also easily and completely removeable if I want to re-do the job or just erase that I ever did this. But like I said, maybe not pretty but it works.
Here's what I used as a material for the rubber pads. Pretty much ideal. But it doesn't have to be this. Your your noggin.
