How does he make the .db file, that's what I want to edit, not the .dat

-just load up the .dat (it contains the same as the .db)
-make your changes
-save as .db (yes it can't open .db but it can save like it)

maybe i am missing something really simple but how do i get the cheats in my game ? i can open the database (i looked at the help file to open the one for supercard. I have a supercard lite btw) and i can activate the cheats but i just do see any options to either patch a rom with it or saving as a .scc and using it with the patcher dont seem to work. can anyone help a bit please ?

Theres a U version of Chrono Trigger now and all you have to do with the supercard is patch it..

However, after a quick search, I found this

That is the GBATemp Cheat Database, if you don't yet know. Sorry if I'm treating you like a dummy, but I don't know whether you know or not.

Anyways, that page is updated regularly by Narin, our GBATemp Cheat Master. He compiles cheats and puts them onto the database.

Click on the cheat.dat that you require. R4 uses CHEAT.DAT and USRCHEAT.DAT, and many find that the CHEAT.DAT works better with the R4, so click on that one. It's the fourth link from the top of that list on the page.

Download it, and put it into the _system_ folder of your R4 (replace the old one). The cheats should come up on your R4.

Umm.. I tried the game out and the cheat just made
my page all blank. The game won't start anymore.

**EDIT: I found out I disabled game and cheats.
