Hacking 9.9 Dummy Browser

I'm helping a friend set up HBL on an o3DS 9.9. Unfortunately, it seems that he used the 3ds with Triforce Heroes which installed the dummy browser. We already tried using the DNS block to prevent system update check, but the message still appears. What are our options (aside from buying LoZOot and a powersave)? We just want to get an entrypoint into HBL.

Use NASA or FBI svchax to reinstall the stubbed browser. It's a legit cia.

you need another entry point of course to do that of course. zelda, CN, or smash bros could do the trick.

I figured as much. Do the newer 3DS games (i.e Fire Emblem Fates) contain the update package?

Cant he use NASA without entrypoint? I remember people could do that to install legit cia awhile ago.

Well, NASA is a .3dsx so I dunno. Seems you need an entrypoint to run homebrew.

Alternatively you should upgrade to 10.7 via system settings and proceed with the downgrade from there. Ofc you'll need ninjhax/OoThax...

Nervermind what i said, he still needs something to able to boot the 3dsx

His browser is stubbed, it's gone. That's what he means by dummy browser.

So it's either buying OoT/CN, Smashhax if you've got a n3DS, or updating then downgrading.
