Hacking Question 9.0.1 and SXOS?

If I don't care about the online parts of the Switch and I use SXOS, can I boot into OFW and update the switch to the newest firmware and then go on business as usual?
Does the sxos rcm dongle and usb tool work with latest fw 9.0.1?
Any issues with 9.0.1 and sxos?
Homebrew still works on 9.0.1?​

I wouldn't recommend it, but yes. Until you're most likely banned.

But the only downside to be banned is that you can't update or play online right?

Yes exactly, and you most likely can't buy games via the Eshop.

Everything works fine on 9.0.1, at least for me.

A ban is a ban. There is no difference. And my console is banned. Permanent. And i can update it normally like other consoles.

There ARE superbans, which completely block you from Ninty servers.

The funny thing is, my console is banned. No eshop, no online play. But updating the firmware works. Never heard from a super ban. A ban is a ban for me.

Yes well maybe not everybody is up to date on all the news on this site and since i dropped the question in first post and didn't get a answer I thought that it would be nice to let newcommers know, sorry if you found me annoying.

No you're fine, 9.0.1 came out a while ago and as soon as any new firmware drops it gets tested by many people with all homebrew. Those threads are still here. I did a search and found many. This thread will eventually get buried as well so it wont matter. But I do believe there is a sticky with info on all firmware. Let me go check.

And it will be worth less if you ever decide to sell it.
No point in wasting a perfectly good cert. It could be useful for things in the future, you can donate it to one of the pirate groups to use for grabbing games and updates, or in the future you might even be able to sell it to someone for the purpose of unbanning.

Yea I guess you're right and I did use the ChoiDujourNX so I should be fine
