PRO-B4 released!
Dear Users!

I’m sorry for the delays, but it’s finally over…

PRO-B4 is released and out in the public now, as you might have seen from the Background Images, we are going to hand it in as a Genesis Competition Entry.

For the Changelog…

Added 6.20 OFW Kernel Support
Added 6.20 Type 2 PRX Permanent Bootloader
Improved NID Resolver (Including 6.20 6.35 NIDs)
Improved Game Compatiblity via Anti-NBGI Fixes
Added Inferno OSS ISO Driver (Improves Compatiblity and Speed)
Fixed BGM Playback Bug in Recovery Menu
Improved Satellite Permission Detection
Fixed Skype Crash Bugs
Added Custom PSX Manual Support
Added version.txt Display Support
Added Parental Level Check for ISO / CSO
Some small fixes we probably forgot about…
As always you can grab it from our PRO File Storage at http://pro.coldbird.eu !

Oh and before I forget… a little information for Permanent Flash users…

Pressing R while booting loads the recovery.

Pressing Select while booting loads OFW.

So the surprise was 6.20 PRO Permanent.....

So PRO-B4 can be used as a permanent stable CFW on fully-hackable PSPs?Yup.
QUOTEInformations for Permanent Flash Users:

Pressing R while booting loads the recovery.
Pressing Select while booting loads OFW.
When applying the Permanent Patch, choose X on first question and O on second to install, two times X only tests whether your device is compatible with our Permanent Bootloader.

Model Generation Compatiblity:

6.20 Version works for 1g, 2g, 3g, 4g and 5g models.
6.35 Version works on all models up to 9g.

I'm definitely going to test this out...

Please report back, preferably with some clearer installation instructions than they give - like, can I upgrade to this directly from 5.50 GEN-D3?

You need to be on OFW 6.35 to use this.

I can't seem to get it to permanently install. Pressing X once does a temp install and reboots, there's no second prompt.

EDIT: Anybody tried the 6.20 version? Maybe it's something they forgot to put in the 6.35 one (or maybe 6.35 is meant for 3000s and such, and lacks the option). If nobody's tried it I'll try it.

The permanent install works fine on 6.20. Try installing it, using fast recovery and then using the permanent patch. If it doesn't work, try using the patch without running the test. It's kinda risky, but until I skipped the test, it would only reset it. Maybe a bug?

QUOTE(gamecaptor @ Apr 9 2011, 05:59 PM) What constitutes “6.20 Version works for 1g, 2g, 3g, 4g and 5g models”. I have a PSP-3001, so is that in the proper range? (I had no idea there was a model above the 3001)
The g refers to the motherboard model. PSP 3000s go up to 09g (so far). If you can run homebrew, check this.

EDIT: Okay, just checked out the 6.20 download and it's got a "Permanent" version.

The 6.35 doesn't appear to have the permanent patch in it. On the 6.20 version, you have the proupdate folder, the fast recovery folder and a folder with the permanent patch in it. Probably the permanent patch can only be used with 6.20 OFW.

It's the same firmware irrespective of OFW starting point -

4/8/2011 7:02:02 PM :: jvhellraiser
you are telling me the 6.20 B-P is permanent?

4/8/2011 7:02:05 PM :: coldbird

4/8/2011 7:04:28 PM :: jvhellraiser

4/8/2011 7:04:57 PM :: coldbird
of course.

4/8/2011 7:05:05 PM :: coldbird
perma patch for tn-d was just a quick 10 min hack of us

4/8/2011 7:05:09 PM :: coldbird
to test if permanent fw is possible

4/8/2011 7:05:22 PM :: coldbird
of course wee have stabilized this test code of ours...

4/8/2011 7:05:27 PM :: coldbird
and turned it into a relyable full cfw

4/8/2011 7:06:07 PM :: jvhellraiser
OMG,iam out of words i don't know what to say!

4/8/2011 7:06:23 PM :: jvhellraiser

4/8/2011 7:06:32 PM :: coldbird
im glad you are happy about it

4/8/2011 7:06:43 PM :: coldbird
wee spent a lot of work for preparing b 4...

4/8/2011 7:06:47 PM :: coldbird
and its 3 different versions

4/8/2011 7:06:55 PM :: coldbird
all 3 versions have the same features though

4/8/2011 7:07:01 PM :: coldbird
so don't let the smaller number 6.20 fool you...

4/8/2011 7:07:13 PM :: coldbird
all 3 versions use the same code inside its core

4/8/2011 7:07:14 PM :: coldbird

4/8/2011 7:07:25 PM :: jvhellraiser
Awsome XD

4/8/2011 7:07:27 PM :: coldbird
all games you can play on our 6.35 one...
will work on 6.20 and the other way round

4/8/2011 7:07:58 PM :: jvhellraiser
this going to be one hell of a realease!

4/8/2011 7:08:20 PM :: coldbird
juppa

4/8/2011 7:08:28 PM :: coldbird
its why wee are going to enter genesis with this

4/8/2011 7:08:40 PM :: coldbird
first true permanent cfw for units up to 5g (psp go)

4/8/2011 7:08:57 PM :: coldbird
and for all units above 5g...

4/8/2011 7:09:08 PM :: coldbird
they can still use our 6.35 PRO-B 4 flavor

4/8/2011 7:09:14 PM :: coldbird
which works up to version 9g...

4/8/2011 7:09:17 PM :: coldbird
(latest model out)

4/8/2011 7:09:34 PM :: jvhellraiser
hahahaha this is so unreal!

4/8/2011 7:09:51 PM :: coldbird
trust me

4/8/2011 7:09:54 PM :: coldbird

Pro-B 4 6.20 permanent tester!

http://www.facebook.com/notes/psp-noob-cen...116322208447756

Yup, gotta' run the 6.20 LCFW, then you can run the permanent patch, and it has the option to test (in which case if the PSP runs properly, you should run the permanent patcher again and press Circle the second time). Going to see if this has compatibility with a few key pieces of homebrew (other people can test PSP games if they care, just remember to change the ISO driver to Inferno to check it's compatibility too).

Yes, up to 05g.

Can anybody confirm POPSloader working or not?

EDIT: Joysens works.
Can't confirm remotejoy as I CBA to restart to do driver signature crap.
It appears to connect to PSN properly, but I can't download any demos (80109D24).

It seems that your MAC address is replaced by your motherboard model, so people who don't know what model they have could use the temporary one and check system information.

Gonna' transfer a PSX game to test POPSloader now...

Which version? The recent 6.xx one ported by neur0n or the older original by Raphael?
I'm assuming the original is the one for 5.x, that's the one I'm using and it works.

As for game categories I needed to use the new one ( http://bubbletune.x-fusion.co.uk/ ), but it's slow when first going into the memory stick menu... is there a fix, or a faster plugin, perhaps with less features?

Also, GoTube! 1.2HMM works.

I can't get the POPSloader menu to come up...

Just noticed the title change,I thank whoever changed it
yaypsp.gif

I have tested 6.35 pro b4 temp / 6.20 pro b4 + permanent patch on my psp 1000 and it works fine
Also the permanent patch is only available for 6.20 if there was any confusion.....

I can't either unless I fiddle around with my PSP's lock switch. Maybe doing that will work for you too?
