ScriesM has updated that he's impressed with it and there might not be a way to patch it out. (Credit goes to DragonZ for the screenshot.)

In other news about 6.2.0, they have halted piracy by forcing everyone (who has access to the eshop) to update to 6.2.0! This (along with the inability to dump games on 6.2.0) temporarily kills Nintendo Switch piracy.

EDIT: Apparently people are receiving the update from banned consoles (as well as the ones that can access the eshop.) This is mainly because they don't hide updates behind dauth anymore so even banned users can now accidently update (credit goes to @Dennieh for the explanation.) Please either do the following:
Stay offline or setup 90DNS/SX OS "Stealth Mode". These should block telemetry from Nintendo thus you won't receive the update.

Carts can be dumped on 6.1.0 right? Unless of course every new title forces an update to 6.2
That's probably going to happen soon. Don't be surprised if it does.

Although Smash uses the 5.0 key generation (at least for the E3 and demos) it's possible that it could too switch to 6.2.0 exclusivity. And effectively kill any chances of pirating the game (if the master key hasn't already been cracked by then.)

That's unlikely cause there's a preload version of it floating around.
Besides NSP stored in cart games are not encrypted by default and Tinfoil can bypass fw requirement.

Not with the new key system though. I doubt the tinfoil bypass will work anymore.

Do any of you know of a way to stop the "update is available" notification when opening a newly installed game that comes with a newer firmware?
I just know one day I'm accidentally going to hit the update button lol

Bitch please :rofl2:
Everything is crackable.

It might take some time, but for sure it will be cracked.
Nintendo cannot win this homebrew war, never.

Besides, you make it seem like Reswitched is the only team of guys working on the Switch at the moment.
There's also Team Overflow, the guys from Switchbrew and also others that lurk in the shadows (just remember the guy that leaked the RCM stuff).

If Reswitched can't crack it, one of the others will for sure.

They keys can be crackable however nintendo can act like denuvo protecting their games enough time to protect the sales of new releases.
Who knows. They might get ScriesM's house raided and all his equipment seized by local authorities.

I do know that everything gets cracked eventually. But this one could take a while (or a solution comes out in a day or two that completely debunks my points.)
