So either Smea has his own iosu. (Possible but a complete waste of time since Hykem was working on it, plus Hykem said he is coordinating with the "other" team for a release .)
Or Hykem finished it and gave it to Smea to continue development.
Thus he did lied, its not a matter of him missing the deadline, its a matter of him telling everyone he would release when ready and didnt.

Plutoo (@qlutoo) posted on his twitter when they found out Hykem was close to releasing which nearly made Hykem abandon things completely as he thought they was in a better position to drive the hombrew scene. Smea and his team had no intentions of releasing IOSU they just wanted to prove they got it first. When Hykem found out he decided to continue.

Its stupid now, every topic is being turned into a let's bash Hykem thread. Just forget about him life has so much more to it than whining on a forum about how someone lied because they didn't meet a deadline date. Everyone deserves to have an opinion but it gets a little boring when you keep expressing it over and over on every topic. Especially when most of the information being spread is wrong.

Wasnt aware of that but if plutto's image is proof of a "finished" isou exploit then Hykem posted a similar image some time ago.
Since Hykem's last post saying he is coordnating with the other team on when to release it exploit, I believe Smea convinced him to share with them and continue developing the exploit but not to release it until they are finished doing whatever they are trying to achieve.
Which is a real shame because if Smea could have emunand running in about a month imagine what 50 developers could have done in the 3 months now this is beening kept private.

Posts like these are reason enough that people don't deserve this to be released.

People like Hykem have lives outside of Wii-U.
Do you even understand what it takes to find these exploits, to program them, to make them useful.
And then on top of all that - share them with all of us for FREE, when they could have just kept them for personal use.

In all actuality/reality they don't have to release squat, I think you are all actually pretty lucky to have someone continue on with all this. If this was me I would have grown tired of all this and kept this private.

I wasn't really saying to ask him, since I'm sure he isn't going to respond to the average user. I'm just saying that we can only speculate. We have no idea on some of the specifics. Only people that know right now is him and whomever he shares info with.

Welp! Waiting is the only option to find out then. Even if it's SD only, they are very cheap nowadays. I just prefer USB since they are faster.

Depends, I think USB 2.0 tops 60Mb/s, there's cards surpassing that by a lot. Can't remember USB 3.0 speeds though.

I would assume that any homebrew would be run off SD. USB, if/when it comes will just be for a USB loader to load backups. Great for all the extra space.

Emunand I'm sure will run off SD.

Why would you assume USB faster?
Depends, I think USB 2.0 tops 60Mb/s, there's cards surpassing that by a lot. Can't remember USB 3.0 speeds though.

The random access speed of USB is way faster, and for lots of smaller files, that's what matters.

When comparing a Flash Drive with SD Card, it is quite similar in writing and reading speeds.
Of course having a SSD disk trough USB 3.0, that's a completely different story.
