I'm not mad, nor do I think they were being malicious..I'd rather do this privately anyway instead of clogging up the thread. So anyone who has been testing for me can pm me and I'll start a group convo with you and we'll continue this privately so we don't clutter the thread. this will make it easier because I can use my own server and add debugging code to it.

Could you perhaps at least do daily updates on the progress? I'm on 5.3.2 so I don't personally expect anything, but I like to follow the overall progress and I am sure many agree. Also, being away for too long doesn't really work out that great in this community

It's not the community that hates it, it's the <12 yr olds that signed up within the last week just so they could complain that they couldn't play Minecraft on their Wii U yet because their PC is just too underpowered apparently.
98% of the ranting anyway, there actually was a few 2+ year long members being dickbags about it too.
