I remeber the blackhat inner circle of the PS3 scene, there were a lot of devs who kept all their findings private.

We are lucky these days, they tend to share eventually.

Imho the PS4 scene has moved quickly recently.

Joonie = rebug
Math = M33 psp
Morpheus = holygrail most recently and more
Qwertyuiopz = jailbreaking phones and more

Theyre all very talented!

well then i can look forward to playing OW again, and well like someone above stated, it could be that he's testing things out on 5.50 for now.

so let's wait for a couple more days and see what he will say about it all.

Kek. I just updated mine. I just remembered I need to always be on the latest firmware so I can stay connected with my brothers back in my home country. And I don't think I'm at loss herr too since I share my digital games with them. But if 5.50 is still vulnerable from the kexploit, then that's a plus.

it actually could be, we know nothing for now, but if it does seem to have not been patched on 5.50 then I'll update mine for sure too and just continue on playing OW and some of the psn purchased games and I'll also look forward to download Ratchet and clank free ps+ game!

and we all on 5.x should just update to 5.50 and just be happy and wait it out on the next fw , i say happy because cmon bros when the exploit comes on a latter fw then we get to be able to run the newer games.

I don't know the details either but for what they sell (modify customers' save games), being able to run code at kernel level probably would help. ^__^

Technically in userland I believe its possible, but to date no homebrew supports just userland, unless you count the sprx dumpers in the POC.

Not yet. What I'm assuming it needs to be stable and needs to be ported on older firmwares like 4.76-5.05. Also don't forget the payloads. I'm also assuming a webkit exploit is used first.
Remember not all hackers just spread out everything they do.

why they will port it to 4.xx? there is no reason. those on 4.xx can update to 5.05 easily.
