I got no error. The disc just doesn't read. So when I click on the disc channel there's the infamous question mark.Ssseth said:What error were you getting when trying to launch games on 4.2? What was happening? Curious if it's the same thing, or close to the same thing as me. There is no workaround for this yet? Sounds like us modchip folks are getting left in the dust a bit with all this soft modding going on.berlinka said:I have a Wiikey too, and the 10 discs I tried didn't work on 4.2.
Luckily I did a NAND backup yesterday. I put it back. Now I'm on 4.0E again and my discs work again.
Mariomaniac, you totally explained it to me. I didn't understand at all, but now you told about the new "wiikey" detection, it all seems very logic (and very annoying).
The Gamecube multigame discs however all worked!
I had one disc (Call of Duty 3) that worked. But I don't know if it was PAL or NTSC.
I don't even know what sort of Wiikey I have. I'm positive it's a clone, but that's as far as my knowledge goes.
Now I'm on 4.0 again and every disc reads perfectly.
