Hardware 3DS stopped working. HELP!

Have you tried holding the wifi switch up/on while powering on the system? Just curious what it would do.

I used to get the black screens on the firmware with the OKGo video, randomly while playing Rayman 3D, and a few other occasions. Turning the wifi off worked, but the recent updates seemed to have fixed the problem. I don't remember reading it thus far, but are you on the current firmware?

I'm confident you'll get it replaced either way, and just like others said, it's a flaw within the software so it's not your fault. Good luck, I hope it works out.

I tried that still stays yellow.
I am on current firmware, latest one.

I'm actually pretty sure that nintendo are taking the piss testing out to see how their 'bricking' works. They probably doing this to a few in the country and once they get the DSs back, due to them being replaced, they see how effective it was. Or they're choosing random people who used a flashcart on theirs.

Anyway I still haven't got it replaced. Damn manager seems to never be in.

Got it changed from the shop now. Dad went to another store where they changed it without needing a manager...?

Anyway Nintendo were being idiots. They replied to my email, saw the video i posted and said that they would give me a quote with the price once i sent it to them. Flippin idiots. They don't replace the console for free, when it was their own damn mistake. Lucky gamstation isn't like that, charging me to replace.

Oh yeah, thankyou to everybody who replied in this thread trying to help me out.

Mostly to the guys who commented on the first two pages (they practically made up all the posters). Thanks.

Wow, good to see things worked out for you. I hate when that shit happens, you call them, and they're like "yeah, no problem, that'll be 300$." haha.

Good to hear you got your shit worked out.

Wow. They wanted to charge you for another 3DS unit? That's kinda sad, seeing as it's their faulty hardware. They should be replacing them for free.

Nice to see you got it resolved.

Yh I don't know what's up with Nintendo now. They used to be good... caring about the customers...
Anyway thanks for the comment

Without trying to really defend NOE, they could have said the price is free.

Anyway, did you find out how it happen? Would you have got red if it was out?

The product is faulty, Nintendo cannot charge you a penny in an EU member state unless it was caused by you. So if you chuck it down the loo or dip it in your tea then they can charge you. You did nothing to cause this, the product is faulty and you are entitled to a full refund or replacement at this stage and you get to pick which you prefer, not the shop. But if you had wanted to go down the Nintendo route as I said they cannot charge you for this.

Anyway I'm glad you have a working 3DS again.

I had this same issue, except it was with my DSi.
I got the Aqua Blue one at release date. I tried to transfer some pictures, and BAM same message.
I think that may be simpler...
I fixed it by calling Ninty..

Buy a new one, take the serial sticker off the new one. Put it on the old broken one. Return it. And yes the sticker comes off easy and its durable.

Screw em.
