Hardware 3ds soaked with apple juice.

Okey. I might try to clean it up myself then. There is no kind of 3ds repair shop as far as I know. There is a lot do those who charge people a lot of money for an easy phone screen replacement because the customer is unaware of the price and how little the job actually takes of you. I got an interest in doing stuff like this myself tho even if I don't have much knowledge about the 3ds hardware ATM. But I'm sure that I can read up on this and if I am successfully doing this I got the knowledge later I life. Is my CPU cleaner alchohol fine to use?

Should be fine since it's designed for things like this. Don't take my word for it though.
And don't start rubbing the screens with the stuff, you don't want to get even more crap stuck on the inside of the screen

Research the type of alcohol to use. It is probably denatured or something like that. Rubbing alcohol still has water.

If sending it in for repair is the only option, it would be interesting to see what happens if you attach a note saying "You do not have my consent to install any firmware version past [insert version here]" in English and Japanese. Tape it to the screen or something so they have no choice but to notice it. I doubt it would work (they might just refuse to repair it, rather than risk a lawsuit or something) but I'd be curious as to the results.

Use isopropyl alcohol and clean the motherboard as soon as possible. The acid in the apple juice will start to dissolve the traces on the motherboard, making the device practically impossible to repair.

You won't believe this... I was typing a reply here and I've just spilled apple juice all over my keyboard! The only upside is that it smells great. But I think as its seeping into the motherboard the keys are going to sotp wroking porprely. Oh ym gdo! I cna no logner tpye!!

Rubbing alcohol is called Rød Sprit in Norway btw. they sell it at every petrol station. i have some bad experience to try to rinse with isopropanol because the stuff sold in Norway leave a white residue.

Buy 99% isopropyl alcohol. Buy a lot of it. Get it online if you have to. Anything lower will have conductive impurities.

Take your 3DS apart and give the individual components an alcohol bath. Scrub with a toothbrush. Let it dry for as long as possible.

Hmm, might be to late then as this have been the condition of the 3ds for 15 days now. As I stated earlier it seems like the, apple juice is all stiff at this point.

I did indeed take the battery out. But I didn't discover the accident at once.

Funny.. I'm working at a gass station now and could literally go get rød sprit right now.
But as far as my knowledge goes you should not clean components with that stuff.

You can just dry-up the internals and try to boot. It should work unless some serious corrosion happened.

I always use SPARK to clean PCBs (and a lot of other stuff)
I highly suggest this.

the problem is that even if it dries, the sugars and goopy juice will still cause it to fry. there's almost nothing you can do because of how much cleaning needs to be done

I like how you rag on their customer service, after they agreed to fix the water damage product. Try finding another company that will do that for you.

Just take the stupid apart your self, buy some ether or electronics cleaner. Blast the thing and use a brush to remove the corrosion and pop it back together.
