Hardware 3DS Release date

I think they want to release this close as possible to the Move and Natal launch this year (November)so that all focus will shift to the 3DS, kinda smart in a cruel way

Only if you like buying a $200+ piece of equipment twice so that you can play some launch title games a few months earlier in a language you won't understand (I don't know if you know Japanese

Well, at least that means some parents can get it for their kids as a present for Easter... Although I definitely agree with you that it would be a much better move of Nintendo to release it before Christmas so that they can make more profit out of it.

Those, imo, are revisions of existing hardware, whereas the original DS, Gamecube, and Wii were jumps to next generation in their respective time periods, and all were released prior to (or within) the holiday season.
