Region lockouts have always been and always will be about controlling price, preventing reverse importing, and maximizing profits.

Do you really think that Kid under 15+ (Cero C rating means 15+) would go on internet and find this game and import it? Do you really belive chances of something like that are big? And if they are over 15, then they can legaly buy game so its not a problem
yes but games that insinuate sex and sexual acts with school girls are different with laws in Japan than the rest of the world

Kids? No. Stores and adults? That's a different story.

Since the PSVita is region locked, I've noticed that some stores carry titles that were released in cartridge form only in the U.S., not to mention all the pre-owns people who can import trade in stores. A prime example could be MLB: The Show 2012 which sits proudly in one of the cabinets at my local game store despite the fact that it was never released in cartridge form in Europe. ;)

What are you talking about? Vita is region free

Vita is region free. It does however, locks PSN account to each memory card. Meaning if you want to use US and JP PSN store you need at least two memory cards (one for each).
Or you can just backup your content with CMA and swap content each time you swap accounts.

I call bullshit. The wireless icon in the corner says Internet, but the JP firmware has it in Japanese.

See.

You're right.. The text is different. [At least in its length]
Also i got no news from TGBUS.COM. [In fact their paces is alway slower i guess]
Only one tells HACKERS FIND HOW TO SOLVE REGION LOCK BUT DO NOT PLAN TO SHARE
[Source] includes a photo running Xcution.. The site don't understand what he did well.
And you can try to google the image to find some clue..Use google image search.

But there is a new says someone have made a tool. >>Source<< Not so useful as you think
It's said to have been existed for 2 months. However someone may have to check it.
>>Confirmed: It is an unlocker, not for region lock but for Parental lock.

What if you set the language on the system to English on Jap system? Or can you do that? I notice the US system only has English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, I dunno what languages are on other regions' systems.

Not that I necessarily believe this. When someone claims they can do something but then is all "I'm not gonna tell you how" it definitely sets off a bullshit alarm.

Nope, the languages are locked to the most prominent in the region.

Even if that was true, I still find it more likely to be an european system. Besides, removing region lock would require some kind of hack.

There's no ENGLISH on Japanese consoles, there's no JAPANESE on the English consoles. I have both JPN and USA console.

Why would their be japanese on a European console anyway?

Because more languages it has, it is better. Microsoft did a good thing including Japanese on Xbox 360 EUR and there is no reason why Nintendo didn't do it

Lol this thread is ridiculous.

I agree, and yes I know I was the one who made it ridiculous ;)

But there is a good reason, probably 0.1% of people in Europe can read japanese, there is no incentive for Nintendo to implement it into EU firmware
