there is some very naughty 3DS games in japan only

you can tell which ones they are as adult games have black boxes instead of white :D

Dem lucky bastards...

edit: wait a- how did Love plus get classified under "naughty"? It's not even a 18+ game...
CERO 'C' is 15+.

Starting 2009, Nintendo made a rule that all Wii games rated CERO C (Japan’s 15+ rating) or higher had to be packaged in black boxes.

why the hell did nintendo region lock the games at the first place it just dosnt make sense!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?
It doesn't make sense for most customers, but region locking is for example one of the easiest ways to make "proper translations" for most games. Kinda like EU has Multi5 for most games while US is English only (or possibly a few other languages). Also releasing games at different times is done via region lock.

ps. Nintendo's region lock is apparently dependent on the releaser. Kinda like Pokemon B/W was for the DSi (which everyone thought was region locked).

Do you really think that Kid under 15+ (Cero C rating means 15+) would go on internet and find this game and import it? Do you really belive chances of something like that are big? And if they are over 15, then they can legaly buy game so its not a problem

Kids? No. Stores and adults? That's a different story.

Since the PSVita is not region locked, I've noticed that some stores carry titles that were released in cartridge form only in the U.S., not to mention all the pre-owns people who can import trade in stores. A prime example could be MLB: The Show 2012 which sits proudly in one of the cabinets at my local game store despite the fact that it was never released in cartridge form in Europe. ;)

Somebody called neimod knows how to bypass the region lock, you can ask him.

One of my friends explained it well. It's because, for example, the US Nintendo wants money, yes? If US gamers buy Japanese games (to get them early, etc) then the US Nintendo doesn't make money, the Japanese Nintendo does. Basically it's to ensure that the sects of Nintendo have "fair" profit in that US gamers will likely (granted the few with imported 3DS's) will buy US games.

^ That's a good reason for it.

I'd much rather not have a region lock but then there's a large potential for US Nintendo's decline due to oversea sales/imports. Hell Japan's Nintendo would pretty much have a monopoly if not for the region lock xD I know I'd import most of my games if not for the region lock.

That's pretty much exactly it--that and when a 3rd party in one territory wants to license their game in another territory, it costs them money--in lost licensing fees--because the company localizing the game knows that a percentage of the userbase already has the game and are sales they will likely not get, thus weakening the original dev/pub's bargaining position--region-locking, for good or ill*, levels that playing field to a degree.

*I HATE IT, but it makes sense from a biz perspective.

LOL.........
The picture firstly was released on www.homebrew-connection.org. (sorry I cannot found it now, so I got a copy from a chinese website)
In the picture, you can see a white 3ds(notice that only japanese version has full white 3ds), running an English title zelda (japanese zelda has japanese title). It proofed that somebody has bypassed the region lock, or somebody has painted a usa version 3ds white.

We have the white XL in Europe as part of a MK7 bundle, it could just be a European system with a EU copy of the game, well either that or it's just a case swap. I'm not convinced until I see the game running on a Japanese system menu, if it's real they should film the game running then pause it and show the Japanese home menu.

I call bullshit. The wireless icon in the corner says Internet, but the JP firmware has it in Japanese.

See.
