Hacking 3ds probelms with r4 3s gold card

Hi, I am new on gba and was recommneded this site by a mate, having read many threads i cant find a solution to my problem.

I bought a 3DS for my daughter and first bought a R4i 3ds card, but i couldnt get this to work and i ended up bricking it as we had to by a game for xmas day so the console updated to the latest dash 3.0.0.6e.

I then bought a R4i 3ds Gold card as these said that they were compatable to the latest dash.

I have tried all sorts of different f/w & patches etc but it keeps on FAILing.

I have D/L Wood_R4iGold_V1.42 f/w which is supposed to be compatiable

R4i-Gold V1.57b En

Also R4i-goldEnglishV1.70b with r4i-gold3DS3.0.06 patch

Does any body have any idea what is going wrong, I am beginning to think i have a Dud card.

Im sure there must be something I am not doing and Im hoping someone has been in a simalar situation.

I have got 3ds Lite which i have used R4 cards & M3 cards before so this is really new to me.

Whats the address on the front of the card?

You need the right update for your card.
You will also need to do the update via a DS lite

There are different Versions of the same wood firmware.

You need to run this patch on a DSlite

which one the NDSL or NDSi? And with the Wood_R4iGold_V1.42 f/w on the memory card?

When i run that patch on the ndsl console and use the patch it says it fails, this is with the r4i gold wood 1.42 f/w on the card.

If that update failed try this one first

I just updated that flashcart about a week ago. I didn't have to patch anything. But make sure you type the web address in the address bar with the EXACT address because there are tons of r4 sites out there.
