Well, the 3DS is both extremely looked forward to as it's extremely trolled so, there's nothing not expectable in that.

I, myself, am extremely excited about it

Well maybe not with the DSi. but did you check this forum when Nintendo DS was released??
And wii wasn't that big since the only(almost) new apart from the gamecube was the controller/VC
