Would doing a system format affect CFW? Also would I be able to link a new NNID if I choose to? My main goal is to put a different one on it. I assume if it's safe to do so, I could back up as I did when I first modded and it won't restore the old NNID.Do a system format. You'll be able to log in again later if you wish. If you don't want to format the system, then you can do it with GodMode9 - see https://3ds.guide/godmode9-usage. Or if you never want to log in again you can delete it through System Settings.

No, formatting does not remove B9S.Would doing a system format affect CFW? Also would I be able to link a new NNID if I choose to? My main goal is to put a different one on it. I assume if it's safe to do so, I could back up as I did when I first modded and it won't restore the old NNID.
Yes, I will get it to you momentarily...The grandma is called Θεοπούλα from the Greek TV series Στο παρά πέντε (2005-2007), some clips are here

Yes, you will be able to log into a new NNID afterwards. However, you cannot log in to an NNID that is linked to another 3DS. You have to either system transfer or call Nintendo to log in to another 3DS's NNID.
Don't follow the CTR transfer guide. You only need a subset to be able to back up and restore the tickets. Would you like me to separate the subset out and write only the instructions you need to follow so you don't get confused by seeing instructions you aren't to follow? Just do things in the order I said before.Ok I'll try to do that, thank you.
Sorry I'm a little confused, so I was reading through the thread and key1340 is saying to follow part 15 of section 2 of this guide: https://3ds.hacks.guide/ctrtransfer
I assume that I should start the ctrtransfer guide from the beginning and make a backup on my PC of my O3DS and N2DSXL SD cards though in case I make a mistake somewhere? After I do that, I should have a backup of the tickets right? What exactly is a NAND backup? Is that a backup of all the contents in the SD card?
On my O3DS, I just have FreeShop, a few games download from Freeshop, PKSM, the TWL and JKSM save Tools, some GBA games, and the apps from the 3ds.hacks.guide setup tutorial.
Yes please, that would be very helpful, I only just hacked my O3DS a few months ago so I'm a newbie to all of this. I still don't understand what terms like NAND mean or what tickets are. All I've done is follow the guide on 3ds.hacks.guide and browsed some forum threads and youtube videos over the past few months about 3DS CFW. ^^;Don't follow the CTR transfer guide. yes, no*(you may be able to use twloader but it's a headache), yes (with VC Injects/emulator)I installed CFW on my new 2DS XL using the R4i Gold 3DS Plus and now I'm thinking about buying a second hand DS Lite. Just wondering if 1. the same flashcart can be used (on the website it says yes) 2. can I play both DS and GBA roms from the internal memory (basically install it instead of loading it from the flashcart)?
I recently posted in this thread asking for help setting up my Luma+Gateway 3DS.
Everything works as a charm, thanks again to Quantumcat for his help!
I followed Plailect's guide to install b9s and Luma, then Temptress Cerise's guide to restore GW access ( /threads/tutorial-using-luma3ds-gateway-on-b9s.431691/ ).
After that I updated Luma on sysNAND to the current firmware and Gateway on emuNAND to 11.2 using a rom.
Currently I can access my Gateway emuNAND pressing down during boot and Luma boots by default.
Since I found myself using my Gateway more than Luma at the moment, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to boot directly into Gateway (emuNAND) and use down to boot into Luma (basically the reverse of my current setup).
Is there any (not overly complicated >_>) way to do so?
I don't think so, unless bootctr9 can work with no button presses. You'll need to look it up. You could put the luma boot.firm also in luma payloads and access it through Select on boot. I don't think it is a good idea because in the future if your Gateway card breaks and you forget how it was set up and how to get into Luma, you might think your console is effectively bricked (since the Gateway card is required to get into Gateway mode)I recently posted in this thread asking for help setting up my Luma+Gateway 3DS.

What version Luma are you on currently? Hold Select on boot to see.Quick question here. I'm on the newest 3ds firmware. When I boot up LumaUpdater to update to newest Luma CFW, it says there is an error and my 3DS reboots. Can anyone help?
EDIT: Homebrew Launcher says that it failed to download the actual payload with HTTP: 0xd8a0a03
I believe the Gateway menu has an option for dumping cartridges. Hold L when booting Gateway mode to see the menu.Is there a way to dump 3ds roms without customer firmware installed. I have a Gateway 3DS card (to have multiple games without needing to swap cards)
but using downloaded roms, I dont have the save games from my original cards.
Hi all. I have a 3DS XL running 11.5.0-38E. I have been out of the 3DS scene for a while and all I have is an old MT-Card which only supports 4.5. My question, what is the easiest way for me to play 3DS ROMs on this software version? Are there flashcards that support 11.5?
