I installed a9lh successfully (following this guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki) and now I have a few questions left.

Current system:
sysNAND: Sys 11.0.0-33E
emuNAND/redNAND: n/a

-To run Decrypt9(WIP) I have to install a emuNAND <= 9.2
If yes, can I simply launch EmuNAND9, unmount SD, insert new SD, format new SD for emuNAND, restore emuNAND from backup I made during 4.5 -> 9.2 update.
Or should I install emuNAND to the current SD card? But then I have to reformat that card as well?
-Can I restore previously installed .cia´s from the old emuNAND backup?
-Can I install .cia´s to Sys 11.0.0-33E?

1. No, there's no need for that. Just setup the Decrypt9WIP a9lh.bin payload through Luma3DS's chainloader. But why do you need Decrypt9? If it's just for backing and restoring NAND backups, Hourglass9 does that just fine.

Decryp9WIP: https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases
2. What system version was this emuNAND backup on? If it was on 9.0 to 11.0, then just use Hourglass9 to restore it to sysNAND.
3. Yes, you can.

Thanks for the quick reply.

1. I will give it a try. I thought Decrpyt9 does not launch on > 9.2. Why do I need it? Maybe I need to create those xorpads.
2. That emuNAND was RX3D 9.9.0-26E. I can restore that backup to sysNAND and update it later to the current 11.0.0 (if needed)? Before that I make a current sysNAND backup?
3. Thanks.

1. It doesn't. With A9LH we have Arm9 privileges at boot time, before the system initializes, so we can run them at boot time through Luma3DS' chainloader feature. If on another CFW, you'll need a boot manager (which is what I do). You no longer need Homebrew Channel to do this, you'll need it for other stuff that requires it, but not for this and because they don't work by launching them from there. And for creating Xorpads, then yeah that's a good reason, if it was just to do NAND backups, then I wouldn't suggest it, as Hourglass9 does that.

2. If you setup A9LH+Luma3DS as instructed, then yes, just hold Start at boot time to load up Hourglass9, and restore that emuNAND backup to sysNAND, you'll of course have to update it 11.0.0 if you want. You should already have a sysNAND backup of your current sysNAND, but it doesn't hurt to add one more if you really want another. Use Hourglass9 to backup and restore. I am aware you can use Decrypt9WIP for this, but you will have to remember to use the (keep a9lh) option when using that, it's better to use Hourglass9, as it removes you having to worry about remembering that.

You could look into ctr-httpwn, but I am unsure it would work.
Link: https://github.com/yellows8/ctr-httpwn

Again, for your use case, I am not sure it would work, you could look over the documentation it has and see if it could possibly work and try it out.

Hmm...... guess my best bet would be to fully hack my N3DS with arm9loader, and then just update my O3DS to OFW11 and do the transfer, now that I think about it, I doubt I will even touch my O3DS after fully hacking my N3DS.... plus maybe someday there will be a way to downgrade from 11 without a hardmod.

I shouldn't have trouble doing a transfer from an unhacked 3DS to a hacked one right?

Make sure you have all the correct files where they are supposed to be. Such as the luma folder, the luma3ds.dat and etc.
Also, black screen is actually normal, it means it has failed and you'll have to try again.
Idk what ended up happening but it just wouldn't work with any higher version. I ended up using Luma 5.2 which worked and I stuck with that all the way up until I was able to launch the Luma Updater cia on my home screen. Once I updated to the latest version through that, it finally started working as it should

is it possible to play an out of region game via download play with cfw installed?
Sorry download play itself is region-locked. So CFW wouldn't exactly fix this. Might be wrong, so if anyone else could chime in, that'd be great.

My question. I have a9lh (sysnand 11.0) and I need to move my old emunand backup which has no a9lh to sysnand for SOME reasons. How can I do it?
What system version is this EmuNAND backup on? If it's on 9.0-11.0, just use Hourglass9 to flash it back onto sysNAND (make a current backup of sysNAND just in-case) - Also, Hourglass9 keeps A9LH always.

Nope, you shouldn't have a problem at all, it's a little bit more complex when you do hacked to hacked, if you don't have valid tickets and stuff. Which doesn't apply to you, it'll be fine.

Is it possible to install menuhax to the emunand to setup gateway autoboot or would it be better to update my sysnand (currently 8.1) to 9.0 and then install menuhax?
I am actually not to sure to sure on this, but what type of system is it? Anyways, if you can safely get to 9.0-9.2, that would actually be better.

You need to change the payload of your freakyhax, you're probably still using the payload of the system version that you used prior to downgrading to 9.2, as such it'll crash.

I get problems whenever I install a custom theme.
Apparently, FBI isn't all reliable for installing custom theme .cias. It tends to have my theme's list wiped and won't install the theme alongside the other existing (legit) themes.
Which CIA installer should I use to install custom theme .cias?

Hey guys!

I just installed arm9loaderhax on both my N3DS and my girlfriend's O3DS.

I have installed legit CIA's of all the Pokémon-games.
My girlfriend wants to redeem a code for a specific pokémon. How do I go about doing that? Is it OK to just do it from regular EShop (we're both on the latest firmware), or do I have to go through the EShop in Homebrew Launcher?

I installed a9lh successfully (following this guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki) and now I have two problems left.

1
Previously i have dual emunand/sysnand with gateway in order to install legit cia on my sysnand.
GOAL : i want to get back my encrypted saves of tomodachi.
I have my old sysnand.bin (4.4), i have a copy of my old nintendo3DS folder (where the saves are).

1. How to access to luma config ? In HL, i tried select + launch luma : nothing happens
2. So is it possible to boot in my old sysnand, like rename it emunand.bin and L+start (if enabled in luma cfg), or create a partition (how)
3. no risk at all ? Backup my 11.0-sysnand-luma-A9HL (how)
4. extract my saves with JKSM and put it back with same legit cia of tomodachi ?
5. remove old sysnand (previously renamed emunand.bin)
6. reboot and i'm back in my 11.0-sysnand-luma-A9HL ?

2
My son get a N3DS but with 11.0 firmware.... I have a copy of freakyform deluxe so i can use freakyhax so i have access to HL.
But i can't follow the Plailect to install A9HL and CFW ? Is it correct ? (Can't downgrade right now when start from 11.0 fw)

That looks like a dummy browser. Maybe someone else can chime in and confirm, but if it is as I say it is, then you'll need a cartridge based entry. Did you get to 10.3.0-22E by way of a cartridge update?

Yes :O so what can I do with this firmware? anyway I want to thank you for your help

Sys 11.0.0-33E - is there a way to install GB games (specifically pokemon Yellow) cia installs fine but it hands on the nintendo logo. not sure if i need to add something to root to actually run it or if i cant because my versions too high. :)

ontop of that is there any CIA installers that display the actual game name to uninstall (bit confusing googling the unique ID's and "CTR-" codes to sometimes get no results at all.
