Hardware 3ds Mii By Picture Fails!

Exactley what the title says. Was anyone else upset by the results of the camera option on the Mii maker?

Mine made the weirdest-looking, ugliest Mii ever for me. It took so much correcting... I admit I'm not the prettiest thing out there, but I'm nowhere near what the Mii Maker said I was.

I eventually accepted what the Mii Maker made for me, simply because it was accurate. Not accurate in my minds eye, but accurate by actual comparison. :/

It read my neck as part of my chin so it made me have a ginormous chin... Which is odd because I have a beard clearly outlining my chin... so not like it didn't have a place of reference.

Besides that it wasn't too terribly off. I prefer my Wii-made one... I just haven't had the time to rehook up my wii to transfer it over.

on the other hand, the eyes are weird too, the chin is either too big or too small, the hair that looks exactly like mine is again too thick....
i never rly liked miis, i have to say, the xbox "miis" look much better

It did alright for me, but not so good that I couldn't improve it by changing some of the things.
There really need to be more facial hair options. I have a big beard that I just couldn't replicate properly with the options given.

I've used the picture Mii Maker three times. (twice for me, one at Best Buy, one on my 3DS, and one for a co-worker)
The Best Buy one took forever to read with my bigish beard and sometimes frightening hair. I trimmed my beard down to a soul patch before I got my 3DS and wore a hat so my hair would stay down and it had no problem nailing me. One of the things Nintendo said was people with beards may have a hard time getting accurate readings.

For my co-worker the first match it gave her wasn't all that great, but one of the other options was spot on.

It's not the most accurate thing, but when it works it nails it.

It does ask you to select male or female before taking the picture... are you sure you didn't accidentally select female?

I thought the 3DS creates Mii characters based on your facial characteristics (and NOT expressions)? You mean the Mii character doesn't look like you at all?

Yup, it does resemble, although I have to say that the hair doesn't.

It's a good creation, though.

Hm, mine didn't come out bad at all, I don't think. It certainly looks a lot like me - more so than the one I made on my Wii xD. When I made one of my little cousin, and of my friend, both came out pretty accurate as well, although it game my little cousin a huge nose.

My bad, this was for Face Raiders. But yeah, my Mii Maker pic was really unflattering so I had to create one from scratch.

Sorry, but this doesn´t look one bit like Charlie Sheen.
All the typical Sheen characteristics (eyebrows!!) are completely wrong.

I also think that the Mii Maker SUCKS, at least for western looking males.
I have very male looking facial features and big eyes and the f*cking mii maker always wants me to look like an asian with round face, tiny eyes and tiny mouth.
The same happens for all the other males i tried, always small eyes, small mouth, big round face.
For girls it curiously works better.
Perhaps the program wasn´t tested properly with western looking faces, since it was made by Nintendo in japan.

I agree. Mii Maker does suck and it's not accurate at all.

But then again, time and effort needs to go into these things for them to shine, I don't think this had any sort of special treatment.

Charlie Sheen has a pretty nondescript face. The eyebrows may be a bit wrong, and the hair(which is user-chosen anyway), but otherwise, it's spot on.
