I don't believe this at all, they will surely do this. The 3DS looks nice but could look a lot nicer. Furthermore in the future there maybe will be more powerful batteries and they'll definitely not let that opportunity slip.

Nintendo will definitely need to make a revision of the 3DS when it comes out. Odds are it'll have its share of kinks when it's released. Most first models of handhelds do. Odds are it'll be, as already mentioned, a 3DS XL or a 3DSi.

Still, with the craze of electronics being small for some reason, I'm surprised they wouldn't aim for a smaller version. Well, maybe they are but just won't call it a Lite (since the "Lite" part of the DS means it was brighter and lighter).

I won't be waiting for a new revision, but I don't rush out for new consoles so it might be out by the time I get to buying one.

Oh and am I the only person who preferred the original DS to the Slim?

Anyways they are right 3DS lite will not happen.

They are simply gonna give the new 3DS revision a new name

But seriously who would say yeah were gonna make a better version of our product in a year or 2 so dont buy it now....

Look at pretty much every console, they keep getting new version, some are more drastic changes (psp, psx, ps2, ps3, gb, gb color, gb advance, gb sp, ds, ds lite, dsi, dsi xl and the list goes on).

So yeah the statement they made is true but it doesnt mean anything really lol

for me the best GBA was the backlighted SP. GBMicro was really small, including its screen.

The only question is whether those who would buy the 3DSv2 would end up on the wrong end of homebrew. Just check Wii and PSP; they both get stronger defenses against hacking with each newer revision.

I always liked the original DS design better than the lite. I especially liked the buttons. The ones on the lite were too squishy.

It won't be a 3DS lite but a 3DS properscreensizes.

Seriously, the next version needs a bigger 3D screen (which probably isn't possible with available cheap tech at this time) and while they're at it, putting a bigger battery in the improved case design would be a good idea...

Well I'm very happy to hear this. I was a little angry when the DS Lite was released and my original DS felt inferior. I would be okay with a revision if it had actual major hardware, more RAM, and most importantly is released at least 3 - 4 years after the 3DS.

The GBC was not a revision of the GB, it was the next generation.
In fact, in some ways the relationship between the GB and the GBC are similar to the relationship between the DS and the 3DS.

This isn't denying another revision. It's only denying that the revision will be smaller. So who knows, maybe the revision will be the same size, with new features. Maybe it'll be a 3DS XL. Maybe it'll be another half-step like the DSi.

This isn't denying another revision. It's only denying that the revision will be smaller. So who knows, maybe the revision will be the same size, with new features. Maybe it'll be a 3DS XL. Maybe it'll be another half-step like the DSi.

Moreover, it's denying the next 3DS revision will be released sooner rather than later.

Also, let's hope the revision is major.
