As the scene progresses, more projects will emerge. As more projects emerge, more threads will be made. In order to help the chaos and reduce the amount of multiple threads in the most popular topics, this post will combine said popular threads into an easy-to-read post.

First and foremost something has to be mentioned about hacking and homebrew in general. GBAtemp.net does not take any responsibility in case of problems with your devices. As quite a few options related to hacking can be pre-, alpha- or beta-releases, the end user (in other words, YOU) needs to know the risks. Even though the risks may be minimal in some cases, they still exist in any and all hacking related options.

I think, the flashcards should have an own subforum. Everytime I visit this forum to see something new about homebrew development, there are around 80% of the threads speculation about gateway and sky3ds and everytime the same questions.
It is very annoying.

feeling stupid for having to ask but is there a thread around with a list of flashcards with benefits and features exc? i have had a brief look but cant find a thread in "3ds-flashcards & custom firmware"

The last working flashcarts are Gateway and Sky3DS, so compare both.

Just note: Nintendo recently added an anti-piracy check function to games that render Sky3DS incompatible.
As a result, currently 2 games are not working : Fire emblem and the new animal crossing.
Gateway is still working with all games, but require specific System (firmware) version.

yes, sky3ds with blue button can only play that game directly but we can play it with pasta cfw.
Besides, the 2nd generation product of sky3ds---double orange button sky3ds+ has already solved the problem, support all 3ds games including ap-check games with any FW, even the newest 10.7.0-32

I have a little question about SKY3DS+ V112...

the function "DEFAULT_GAMESAVE_KEY=" set my private header to the games automatically, right? okay then... but for the game to work properly, the 2 first characters from the cart ID have to be the same as the private header, right? if so, does that mean that, even with the automatic header setting, I would still have to set the cart id's manually?

Now my Sd card have a lot of files
Which ones I really need? or which ones I need to delete?

Hello, haven't put a finger on my 3ds for quite somewhile.
Currently sitting on 7.5sysnand and looking to update to arm9loaderhax. i found this guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki
Currently at "part 1" as it says downgrade to 9.2 in the next part, is it safe to assume i can do part 1 without any risks? really dont want to brick my 3ds.

I am currently trying to install CFW in my N3DSXL running 11.2.0.35 via soundhax but I cannot seem to download the torrent files because there are no seeders. Is there a specific time or schedule the files are provided? I am following the 3dsguide. Or is there alternative way of downloading the files. I need the aeskeydb.bin, f.b.i. 2.4.2 Injectable.zip and the data-imput-v3.zip
