The Crown3DS situation is not set in stone - their video was neither proven true or false. It's entirely possible that they created a board that emulated the workings of *one* cartridge, namely the Splinter Cell cart, and it worked for that and that alone. You can't say they didn't - you can't say they did, you don't have enough info to answer that question.
<snip>

What reputation? Never in my life have I heard of a guy named yellow8 - what contributions are you talking about?

In any case, I'm not saying this is fake - you're getting me wrong. I'm just waiting for definite proof that this goes somewhere. PROVIDED this is in fact true, it's an error code edit - it doesn't explicitly imply any hardware access. For starters, the 3D light isn't blinking, so there's a good chance that feature isn't supported in this "mode". What if the hack doesn't give you much programming space, even if it "works"? Think about that for a moment.

My point is, let's NOT get overly excited - this is great news if true, if not, go along, but if it doesn't go anywhere, you'll be disappointed later on. Patience is a virtue.
He's a member of Team Twiizers!

I see. I never knew that, thanks for the clarification. That puts things in perspective, but still isn't definite proof. ;) Yellows states it himself. Until the resources available via this exploit are mapped, we don't know if it's useful or not, provided it is real. :P I see nothing wrong in skepticism.

So we're waiting on details of what it's capable of? Besides the "We hacked it" and yellows8 what actually happened?

cool, now we have something to talk about
I dont know if it's BS, but at least this fires up a little the chat in the 3ds scene

Close the thread please. Nothing productive is gonna come of this other than increased message count
Well, now that I've been corrected and the source seems genuine, perhaps it should be on-going merely because if there are some updated soon, we might get more insight on the expoit and whether or not it is genuine. ;)

Oh cool :D
Post any updates you find on the topic here then I guess

If this is fake i'm going to do pic related to yellow8

If this is true though and in the nearby future extends to the capacity for programming homebrew, I just might have found a good reason to buy a 3DS. I'm sick and tired of the DS's limitations, I'm not patient enough to think of work-arounds for them. :P

offtopic: talking about Crediar.... funny how the guy made it into a GT's Pop Fiction episode about the Megaman 9 "secret"

What if this is like DSiWareHax, and only has a limited release? That would suck..

You didn't read the thread, did ya?
Some reputable hacker posted it (Sorry I forgot the name, I've actually not heard of him). Crediar also seems to support that it's the real deal.
Well if this hacker is so reputable then how hard would it be to take a quick cell phone video and prove the claim. It's not like it's a hard thing to do. This is just such bull shit. If they really had something they'd show it. I'm going to file this one with the fuzzy big foot photos
