Well, I for once find demos interesting. Pretty much all my 360 games were bought after playing their free demos, so I was thinking if the 3DS will have something similar. Even if those demos were extremely small (even with some sort of time limit like several have) it would be an interesting way to know wether we like that game or not.

So... Do you think they would release something like that? Or are the chances of it happening too slim?

I wouldn't say the chances are slim considering the Wii's Nintendo Channel hosts DS demos and nifty DLC for some games. Assuming there are 3DS demos, they'll probably be downloadable inside the eShop channel after the May update or something like that.
It's also already known that Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will include a demo of Resident Evil Revelations so I don't see why ther games wouldn't be able to do the same in the future.

Hmmm i sure hope so. There is always shovel-ware, and plenty of over-hyped games which would be great to try first before wasting 30 odd quid.

People are more likely to buy a game they've played a demo of as they've had a taster and have enjoyed it enough to purchase it.

The PS3 has it right there, a large majority of their games have a demo release that you can download from their store before you buy, i have purchased many games because of this benefit...and i don't regret a single one.

Huh I don´t enjoy your sig. its normal.

It should be great to see some demos! Try before you buy idea gets back in my head.
