Hacking 3DS freezes while doing the explot in GW 3.0

Well my 3DS has already freezed 3 times while trying to do the exploit (to go into gateway mode), i have played since release date a lot of times, (probably like 20) but the 3 times this happened i had to force a shut down.
Is this normal or dangerous?
It freezes after the "gateway is loading" screen, but before the dragon appears, and the bottom screen is full of weird colors :s.

PD:This happened the first day, the second time i tried to go into gateway mode and before i formatted emuNand, so i guess it's not something i did to the Card.

I'm scared to downgrade, because if this freezes while downgrading I'll have a really expensive brick :c

Dude the exploit is not perfect, it happens also with the ds exploit
