No, it's updated fine with that. But my card still doesn't work on 7.1.0-16 3DS
Do you have a "RTS" at your card? Do you have a white dot:

Sorry if this has been asked before, but does the MT Card support newer system firmware? I found this quote on it's wiki page:
  • Supports 3DS System menu v4.1.0 to v4.5.0 (According to its site, 02-28-2014, it supports 7.1.0 firmware updating the carts firmware)
But I can't find anything else about it. Does this mean it will work with a DS on 7.1.0 firmware?

DS Mode flashcard supports FWs up to 7.1.0, 3DS mode supports only FWs from 4.1.X to 4.5.X.

Okay, thanks for the clarification.

Edit:
Sorry, just found this on the FAQ:

My console's firmware is above 4.5.0, what can I do? Is it possible to downgrade?

Downgrading is possible only if you have a backup of your NAND chipset created before updating. You can't restore another console's NAND backup.
If you have a NAND backup of your console and want to restore it, check the NAND section.
If you don't have a NAND backup, you can't use this hack at all. You must buy a new console if you want one with System version 4.5.0 or below.
Purchasing a MT card flashcart may be a possible solution at the time being, that being it is the only flashcart that supports 4.1.0-7.1.0.

This seems to suggest that the MT-Card will work up to 7.1.0. Can anybody confirm/deny this?

I havn't changed my opinion about that in the last days and I own a MT, a 3DS with 4.5.X and a 3DS on the latest FW.

Found this on the chinese forum (duowan). Apparently there's new 3DS flashcart coming soon

http://evo3ds.com/ (this website is under construction still)

Looks like they have Nand Saving working. Since GW is the self proclaimed innovated and everyone else are just ripping them off. Also also the chinese leaker also said that MT card was the product of GW+SC and that GW have abandoned GW for a new cart. This looks like proof.

Oh noes! My 80 Dollarz!:O

So, MT-Card was the first FC have multi-rom, Evo3DS will be the first have nand-saving, and GW 2.0f will never be released :rofl2:

Even the box looks the same as gateway's lol I wonder if the last beta with brick code was their way of saying goodbye before moving on to another cart :P
