It's gonna be farking awesome!!! I will be dancing in the streets with joy when gateway releases the fabled 2.0 of my dreams. Guess what else I like no multi-rom support! I said it yes it's true!
I'm kinda a noob. Just wanted to ask is it possible to remove gateway mode from the 3DS? Also will removing/installing it cause any damage to the 3DS? And is it possible to play original game cards (with all the online functionality) with the gateway mode installed?

We don't actually know how emuNAND will work. It's quite possible you'll be able to run retail carts in emuNAND mode, but we don't know for sure. And the Gateway cart probably doesn't need to be in at all times, but again, we don't know that either.Sorry, that's what I meant ^^, When 2.0 comes out with emunand will I be able to play my physical zelda and pokemon x cart after entering emunand mode on the gateway 3DS or does the gateway have to occupy the physical card slot at all times during emunand and you just play games via roms on there, Just curious because I would rather use my physical carts that already have my saves on them.
But of course I can't play them unless I can go into a later firmware with emunandJust wondering if anyones knows if its possible to play physical 6.0 + carts after you go into emunand or if gateway has to stay in the slot at all times.
It is possible to remove Gateway mode, yes. There are actually two hacks at work, however. One which is removed after running 3DS apps or cycling off, and the other is removed by running DS games. And yes, it's possible to run game cards while Gateway is installed. Just don't activate the profile hack during that cycle.I'm kinda a noob. Does anyone know if the gateway multi-rom feature be like the ds drag and drop system or something different?

Who cares about multi rom support.
Bring us the region spoofing and nand save solution first and then we are![]()
Isn't region spoofing already done?
That's not region spoofing.I mean the emu nand sp that we play the new zelda and batman. Games that are based on higher sdk.
Gateway doesn't install anything permanent to your 3DS. All the code only exists for as long as your device remains powered on. After reboot, your 3DS is normal again, no trace of Gateway.

There are two Gateway carts. One that installs the GW installer, a semi-permanent hack (the DS cart), and one that is allows you to run the 3DS roms (the 3DS cart). You can't just pop the GW installer in any cheapo $5 R4 and expect to be able to get all of Gateway's features for free.so... if you can run the GW installer from a different NDS cartridge, that means you could use the GW 2.0 update and get Emunand without a Gateway cart.
although wont be of much use since you could only play newer (and old of course) retail games, while staying on 4.5
so I could play a retail Pokemon Y mean while I wait for my order to arrieve
(all this IF the emunand is released in the 2.0, and in the next week)
