The Nintendo 3DS provides the most connections and distribution opportunities of any system Nintendo has launched. We will be discussing the various methods of content/messaging distribution the device has to offer, and how your products can leverage each of them. The Nintendo 3DS system allows you to reach your audience everywhere they go using online, (wireless broadband connection) and peer to peer through 80211 based local wireless communications. The event will also cover the features native to the system that will drive its use, and provide new ways to surprise and entertain.

Features covered in the presentation will include:

Online

Nintendo 3DS's new e-Shop
Out of House Distribution (Nintendo Zone viewer)
Apps
Online Matchmaking
Internet Connectivity
Friend Presence
Digital Distribution

Local Wireless
Street Pass TM
Multi-player

Native System features
AR Functions
Anti-piracy
Tools/Middleware update
Project Sheet

Will you be able to use Nintendo points on the E-shop? Or has this already been discussed?
Because I went to Gamestop the other day and they said that you can use them when the E-shop comes out.

Just as an FYI the link is broken so you might wanna fix that

No points anymore, at least not the usual ones, Nintendo is switching to real currency this time.

Oh. Well thats a shame, considering I bought a points card for it. Hopefully Gamestop will let me return it and let me get one of those 3DS card things.
I don't think they're allowed to do returns like that. Just spend the points on DSiware or WiiWare.

I hope for an app to play access/play the new pokemon online tcg w/o needing a pc. Or for the costume netfront to work with both the online tcg and dream world.

the most intersting for me will be the anti-piracy part cuz it will decide if i truly buy a 3ds or not
That won't say anything at all. You'd have to wait for a 3DS conference by other people, like Team Twiizers for example. : )

I'm sure the "Apps" won't be much, probably Game-esque titles such as Flip-note, but I'm sure we'll hear about Netfilx as well, and Internet Browser.

I think he was referring to what Nintendo has to say about how they plan to combat piracy. It will likely give the homebrew community a better idea of what types of challenges lie ahead. And it is listed on the agenda for discussion. Nintendo can be expected to offer some overview to developers for how they plan to combat piracy on 3DS.

If you want to break the front lines, it's always good to know what type of tactics the enemy plans on employing.

Here's hoping they will allow users to create and distribute their own apps *fingers crossed*. Then there wouldn't be any reason for them to complain about people using flashcarts for homebrew or whatever.
