Hacking 3DS compatibility

I just bought my 3ds about a week ago, and I have read through the forum and it appears that I can still run the acekard 2i on the 3ds updated, I also bought Zelda which forces an update for the 3ds, if I update the 3ds, will I still be able to use my acekard 2i on it?; I have a NDS Lite, so I can update the firmware, I'm just curious if it will still run if I update it.

The Acekard 2i works on the latest version of the 3DS software (2.1.0-3) with an updated Acekard 2i.
