Wait a few months. If the 3DS doesn't die (which it will) you'll probably see it in more colors.

You think the Nintendo 3DS will die in a few months?... That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

Even the N-Gage lasted more than a few months...

Black is definitively a safer choice, I've read many impressions/comments describing blue one as ugly.
Still the shininess of 3DS is a big fail for me, making it look cheap and plasticky...

most ppl say the blue suck and those who actually saw the aqua blue version mostly said it looks great
the black will be a bigger problem during the summer, i can guarantee that
the shininess makes it look the opposite of "cheap and plasticky", the problem is, it's fingerprint magnet, which the matt dsi wasn't

I've heard both about the blue. In Gamespot's unboxing right when he pulled out the aqua blue one he said, "I'm glad I pre-ordered black".

Either way, it's not the end of the world if it looks bad.

I just got back from Best Buy, and guys, the blue looks better in person. I would describe it as cute and toyish, but sleek and sexy at the same time. Nintendo did good.

Same experience and same thoughts exactly. I actually changed my preorder from black to blue.

I thought the Blue one looked really good, but then as i started seeing unboxing videos and pictures, the blue started looking ugly and the black one started looking sleek.

Finally when i got a hands on experience, i realised the black only seems sleek in the pictures. The black doesn't look sleek or sophisticated, it looks dull. The blue one was no way near as bright and didn't stand out as much as i thought it would.

Well, actually, there are 4 colours: Red, Blue, Black, Purple. The other two will come out after a year or so, for a limited period.
