My 8gb sd card corrupted on my n3ds xl 11.6 while playing project x zone 2 that i downloaded from free shop cia. I now have no homebrew channel to install anything over again. What do i do gbatemp gods?

- Try to recover whatever you can off your SD card with Recuva.
- Reformat the card in Windows as FAT32 and 32 KB.
- SUPER IMPORTANT: Check the card does not have bad sectors and is not FAKE using H2testw. Do a full Write + verify test.
- If everything checks out, whatever you could recover back onto the card and add back/replace CFW files: https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup
K well while waiting for a reply i ended up using god mode and transfered ctrnad to end up back at 11.2 sir. While in 11.2 i tried to go into download play and do what you said but it was just regular ol download play. What should i do sir continue to reinstall or......?

Rosalina has an easily accessible menu, triggered by pressing L+Down+Select (Miscellaneous options > Switch the hb. title to the current app). Simply launch any title, use that option, close the title ; the next time you launch that title, it will run boot.3dsx.
you need boot.3dsx in sd root and hb fbi to install fbi cia.

Back up everything from on your card.
What you want to do is restart from scratch with a clean slate SD card. The card has to be checked in H2testw to ensure it'll give you a trouble-free setup, or else you'll continually find your saves and games getting corrupted. If you got bunked hardware, you'll get garbled data.
Follow the 3ds.hack.guide in recreating a barebone custom firmware build. You'll have to inject Homebrew Launcher into Download Play using Rosalina Menu. Once you know you got CFW working again, try copying back everything from your previous setup except the CFW parts like luma / gm9 / boot.3dsx / boot.firm, etc.

@TurdPooCharger @Nimrod-002 i cant get the freeshop to load the title keys or the homebrew channel cia installed. Why not? homebrewchannel that i installed says i need payload but i have it already. Freeshop just doesnt want to load the keys even tho i have it already. Looks like from scratch is whats about to be done...man

payload to run the homebrew launcher is a binary file specific to your firmware version

I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
