i think Gateway team developed they own ROPchain so im pretty sure they will be able to figureout how smea did his exploit and make the flashcard compatible will later firmwares.

Team Gateway will need to make AN ENTIRELY NEW EXPLOIT if they want to make their code run on 5.0+ 3DS firmwares. Smea has stated that the exploit he has is not able to use Kernel-level execution. Even when it is released, Team Gateway will not be able to use it to run their hacked Kernel. As such, they will need to develop a new Kernel-mode exploit for the new firmware revisions.

TL;DR - GATEWAY CAN'T USE THIS EXPLOIT, STAY ON 4.X FOR ROMS.

Getting 6.3 support would make any current store 3DS gateway-able.

Infact I'm sure they are constantly trying to find more recent exploits during their less busy days. The possible profit they'd get from it is just too massive to pass it up.

Isn't that what assholes do for all game consoles when they first get released? The Wii was a perfect example of that. You could either wait for a few months, or spend $500+ dollars for a core console. At least here, people have a chance to snag one before that happens.

When you do a system transfer you have to connect to the internet... so the 6.2 will update to 7.1 before anything
