This is pretty old and possibly not even maintained anymore, but figured I should report regardless.

I was trying to download the original 3DS system font since I had changed fonts and wanted to go back to the stock one. Inputting any variety of "0004009B00014002 v0", "0004009B00014002 v0000" or even just "0004009B00014002" always came back with an "Invalid input" error. I had to download the entirety of the 2.0 system update by typing "2.0E" and deselecting "Pack as CIA" (and that worked fine), then going into the firm update folder and running make_cdn_cia.exe on the 0004009B00014002 folder.

I'm trying to restore my home menu so I can update but since my backup doesn't seem to work, I'm trying to redownload a fresh one. I put the TitleID in and I get an input error.

This has been a long time since the last release, but here we go:

First up we have a previous release (3.2.1 Nightly) that fixed the following:

• Refined the code-base
• Refined the interface

Then we have our latest release (3.2.2 Stable) which fixes the following:

• Fixed updater issues
• Removed background music
• Cleaned the code-base

I hope everyone enjoys this release. Also, I plan to improve a few other things in the, not so long, future.

A quick update 3.4 has been released with the following new features:

• Implemented Update Service
• Added Automatic Log dumping; as an option.
• Implemented Dark-theme; can be disabled/enabled.
• Removed old code and forms.
• Refined the Interface.

Nintendo has recently been able to patch the way 3DS' grab titles from the CDN and otherwise.
This takes effect for firmwares 11.8+.

Soon, Nintendo may pull the plug for downloading content from the CDN's that are NOT a 3DS. Meaning, 3DNUS will most likely become useless and obsolete.

If you need to download any firmwares or titles; please grab the latest release and download what you need immediately!

Yes, Nintendo will not get rid of older firmwares. Newer firmwares beyond 11.8 will not be able to be downloaded due to the new implementations.

If they were to get rid of things entirely and change everything, older firmwares wouldn't be able to update.

nintendo has disabled old update files so you are basically only allowed to get the files for 11.8 now

try google "11.2.0-35E firmware download" the first site will help you get the files you want

you should be able to, and use a https://github.com/profi200/sysUpdater/releases as a "downgrade" to install the whole 11.7

then just update your system normally after that

oh, no no.. i dont want to reinstall anything..
i just got the firm 11.7 files and i successfully took the home menu as a cia, but what i was wondering is, if i install this cia (home menu from 11.7) on my 11.8 console, will it force an update indefinitly everytime i launch the cia ? or can i edit some hash files to make the console beleive its from 11.8 ?
