Well we dont really have a forum for this but i believe it belongs here.

Some months ago a guy model the Nintendo Switch and uploaded the 3ds files.

I downloaded them but never got around to printing any of it out.
But today i decided to print it out so i could get a feel for how things are.

Here is the Left Joy-con

Dont mind the color. already had that filament load. (trans purple)
I plan to print the Right Joy-con and all the buttons for it.
Then the joy-con grip. The idea is to see if i like the Nintendo grip or should i design my own.

I dont plan to print the switch any time soon (since it will be about an 9 to 10hr print)
These joy-con take about 1hr,35m each.
The buttons i have group together and will take about 40 to 50min for all of them (both L and R)

Now on to some talk.

The Joy-cons are small, once i get everything printed i will have more pix with items next to them for size.

But the joy-con feels nice when held as in the first picture. Finger wrap around the side (SL SR side)
With the joy turn sideways (as in playing mario kart) it feels really bad to me.
Its off center, small and cramp. The ABXY buttons are to far to the left causing you to have to push the joy-con into your right hand more.

Ended up finding a better model. This on was closer to the offical size. The purple one was a bit bigger then specs.
But they sliver ones are most to offical size, which a a bit smaller.

They still feel nice in the hands.
The right joy-con feels better turns sideways.
Other then thats its like the L joy-con.

Yea ive been into 3d printing for awhile. Had about 4 printers. Upgraded and sold the old and now im less with 2. Build them myself as they come in a kit.

Ive printed everything from model, figures, replacement parts to custom cad items i made from strach. Printed some stuff for my car also.

But as for the joy-con go. The scale is pretty much 1:1 ill post some more photos later. If anyone wants them.
