I have pretty much all the 3ds games u can imagine.
But for no games is it acceptable..

Mario kart 7.. Tales of the abyss, Fire emblem. all just look very blurred, u can't even read or see characters faces anymore, and or there are 2 duplicates of everything.

HOW DO PEOPLE CALL THIS 3D?

Sorry im just dumbfounded at how bad this "3d" effect is.

Which games supposedly look nice with em?

The only thing that is nice of 3D is that the contrast/light seems higher.
Which you could just have that, without the actual 3d fuckup so u cant see what's going on.
Maybe with a hack..?

you are not holding it right. i have an old xl and my 3d is fine. what kind do you have? it does take a little while for your eyes to get used to the 3d.

I used to have old 3ds XL now I have new3ds XL.

Yeah, sure getting used to seeing 2 characters of everything on screen.. makes it hard to aim or not to crash

It's like everything cross-eyed.
Im trying to like it, but I just can't this is nonsense..
Even the 3d in movie theater looks better, and that is close to non existant..

Not holding it right? I hold it in all possible ways, still looks the same lol

Try holding it at a different angle, especially with the older model.

I honestly can't stand 3D anyway, unless it's Super Mario 3D Land or whatever it's called. That game had 2 modes, one where everything pops out at you, which I hate, and the other mode makes it seem like you're looking into the console itself, like looking into a box. That changed my perspective on 3D gaming on the 3DS, but no other game has it. :/

Alternatively, if you're on emuNAND and having this problem, try closing the lid and opening it back up. Also, be sure you have proper lighting when using it, as the head tracker has problems in the dark. Lastly, make sure your face is center screen.

Three possibilities
1) Wouldn't call this an actual eye problem, but some people just can't take those kind of 3d effect.
I don't have that kind of problem and the kind of things you describe only happen to me when...
2) I'm not holding it right. the o3ds was especially picky about this. It's not as bad with the n3ds but it still happens
3) I'm not setting the 3d effect right.

Anyway, the 3d is rarely more than gimmick. Some people like it, most people I know simply don't use it.

I had forgotten another possibility...
4) All of this is simply a (failed) troll attempt.

If you are seeing 2 duplicates of everything then you are not seeing the 3D effect so obviously it will suck.

On the original 3DS it took some time to find the sweet spot where you can actually see the 3D effect (it's very narrow) and that's kind of a pain in the ass to be honest, but on the new 3DS this is 90% fixed by enabling Super-Stable 3D. It sounds to me like you either have it turned off, or you're in CFW and you didn't close and reopen the lid after booting the CFW in order to fix the 3D effect. (only 90% because if your face is partially covered or your head is too far off to the side the head tracking won't work, but it still gives you a lot of freedom of movement where it will still work correctly so should be no problem under normal use)

I agree to an extent, 3d is useless on fast action games.

BUT, the n3ds has gotten me to like 3d more, since it could actually track my eyes, so the double/blurry image problem has been no more for me. :)

I always get this DOUBLE/BUrry image problem.
See,! this is not 3d if it is double/blurry.

What exactly is suppose to be 3d about this? this has nothing to do with me..

Look. if I watch a 3d movie in cinema the image is not all garbled and double actors right? wouldn't make fucking sense.
Sometimes you have a pop out effect like an explosion or butterfly whatever. but it's not happening at all at the 3ds...

Actually im just on emunand. And I have this super stable 3d on. but 3D seems to work just as crappy as my O 3DS.
btw just curious, re-open lid..?

So I shouldn't be seeing double/blurry if the 3d "is working" properly? at all?

The doubling is actually 2 different images from the screen.

What is supposed to happen is one different image per eyes.

Some people aren't compatible with this process, for various reasons, like space between eyes, visual issues or just unknown reasons.

emuNAND counts as CFW. You have to close the lid and open it again for super stable 3D to work.
Other people have no problems seeing the 3D effect, at least not on the new 3DS with super stable.

If you have glasses or anything wrong with your eyes the 3D won't work for you. 20/20 vision only please.
